Greetings Class:
I was not the kind of student who adored her studies in high school. I hated to think too much and much preferred to relax and think less. Well, I guess God had better plans for me. I was kicked out of my first high school and was transferred clear across town where everything and everyone was foreign to me. Two teachers in the school, took me under their wings and begi the pour into me. Because of them, I was also introduced to sports which became an outlet.
I applied to one undergraduate school and while attending, two more women took me under their wings. One of the professors, I became her teaching assistant and feel in love with teaching and helping others. I continued to teach for my entire undergrad and then into my graduate program at the same school. The rest is history.
Let me tell you a little about my professional history. I was a School Counselor for 10 years for a local school system and realized I had become stagnant in my position. I enjoyed doing what I did but knew I did not want to go further up the ranks of education, so I pursued my Doctorate. I begin teaching online while I finished my degree over ten years ago.
I am a Leadership & Education Consultant where I own and operate a for-profit and non-profit. I worked with youth, teens, adults, muncipalities, organizations, and so forth. I am a best selling and award winning author, developed leadership models and curriculums and the list goes on. I enjoy teaching, sharing and learning from others.
I am the Head Coach of a Junior MultiSport Club; a National, State, and Local Multi-Discplined Sport Championships Level Coach and the only African American/Female USAT Certified Race Director.
I have been successful in business and in athletics. I am an Ironman, Marathoner, Triathlete, Duathlete, and Certified Coach in triathlons, running, and other disciplines. I have been coaching sports for over 25 years as well.
I am an Award Winning and Best Selling Author. I have developed leadership models and curriculums that remain the basis and foundation of all programs and approach to programs, activities, professional development, workshops, etc I engage in.
I look forward to learning with you.
